The only time i see, or hear someone is proud to be a filipino is when it relates to Pacquiao, or if theres a talented singer that is filipino, what about the culture of the Philippines itself? During the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight, my girlfriend pointed out that the Mexicans in the crowd were singing along with the anthem singer for their country, but you didn’t hear anyone sing along with that 11 year old singing the Philippines national anthem: no pride for the country. Plus most fil-ams dont know how to speak nor understand tagalog, i know i dont, and plus to those who were born and raised in the U.S. cant even stand living in the provinces because of the standard life here in America and yet say “im a proud filipino”. idk, it was just a random thought. I think its sad to even say you’re a proud filipino when you cant speak your own language or lived more than a week w/o hating it in the Philippines.
just my opinion.
